Steve Carsey Managing Director +
International media executive Steve Carsey has joined Bertelsmann as Managing Director of the Audio Alliance UK and Storyglass. In this capacity, he heads up the group’s international podcast interests, working across Fremantle (television), Penguin Random House (publishing) and BMG (music), as well as with external partners. Previously Steve was the Senior Director for International English (Originals) at Audible, where he managed content strategy and greenlit more than 200 podcasts over 6 years. Credits include 'Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman' (#1 New York Times Bestseller), 'Sun King', 'Michael Caine’s Heists', 'West Cork', 'Body of Proof', 'The Kurupt FM Podkast', 'Beautiful Brain', 'Murderbilia', 'Alien: Out of The Shadows', 'Stephen Fry's Victorian Secrets', 'Sleeping with David Baddiel', 'French and Saunders: Titting About' and 'From The Oasthouse: The Alan Partridge Podcast'. Steve was Audible’s first hire in their Originals team in 2014 – and was one of the architects of their global audio entertainment strategy. Prior to his focus on mainstreaming audio entertainment, Steve was a veteran of the television and digital video worlds, where he ran creative divisions and businesses for some of the UK’s largest independent producers. As a showrunner, he had an international reputation for creating, producing and launching global events and entertainment hits, working across music, reality, sport, children’s and youth programming.

With more than ten years' experience in audio production, she has a significant track record of championing and launching original ideas across multiple genres, including docs, factual entertainment, comedy and drama. Credits include 'Heroes with Michael Caine' and ‘28(ish) Days Later' along with hit entertainment series such as 'French and Saunders: Titting About'.

Kate is an award-winning producer and exec producer, with a decade of experience across a wide range of audio genres. She has developed and produced narrative investigations, comedy and entertainment formats, and documentaries. Her credits include ‘You’ll Do’ for BBC Radio 4 and the multi-award-winning podcast ‘Griefcast’.

Liz is an award-winning entertainment executive with over 20 years of experience in the industry across IP licensing, brand strategy, live events and podcasts. Liz co-created and exec produced the hit true crime podcast Chasing Charlie and Flex’s Semi-Factual History Lessons, one of Spotify Australia’s first commissioned originals in the territory. She was also responsible for Wentworth: The Fall Girl and Family Feud: The Podcast, both adaptations of existing IP from the Fremantle television catalogue. Grace Anderson is an emerging podcast producer with experience working in podcasts, documentary and reality TV. Educated at AFTRS, her debut independent podcast charted top 20 for its genre in 7 countries, and was nominated for 6 awards (winning 3) at major international podcasting festivals. In 2022 she was nominated for the Rising Star Award at the Australian Podcast Awards, was a Producers, Authors, Composers and Talent (PACT) Emerging Artist, an EnQueer Artist, and a fellow at Varuna House through their Young Writers Studio Program. She has a passion for disability advocacy, and in addition to her work at Storyglass, she works with the award-winning disability in film advocacy organisation Bus Stop Films as tutor.

He was script assistant and runner for Neil Gaiman's Sandman Audible audiobook series, the #1 bestselling New York Times Audio Bestseller.
