BBC Radio 2 Celebrates Songwriting

Storyglass is proud to present How to Write a Perfect on BBC Radio Sounds, where Pete Paphides is on a mission to find the perfect formula for making music. Each episode explores different iconic music styles and delves into the individual pieces and how they fit together to make some of the most iconic songs of musical history.

Pete spoke with songwriting’s greatest writers, including Shaznay Lewis, Katie Melua, Melanie C, Kevin Saunderson, Sharleen Spiteri, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Susanna Hoffs and many, many more. Hear the stories behind the hits, find out how famous lyrics were conceived, and dive into these iconic artists’ writing processes. Did they know they had a hit on their hands?
